OK, this came to me driving in to work this morning, and as usual I felt the need to inflict this on<\/del> share this with you all!\u00a0 I’m blatently cross-posting from Free Range Poetry, where it can be found at http:\/\/www.freerangepoetry.com\/?p=149<\/a>.\u00a0 Also, you need to remember –\u00a0Jimmy Buffet<\/strong> is singing this to you.\u00a0 Not me.\u00a0 As you read it, imagine Jimmy Buffet singing it.\u00a0 In fact, if any of you know Jimmy Buffet, please point this out to him and let him know it’s for sale!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Without further ado…<\/p>\n

“How ya doin’?”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“Oh, I’m not bad…\u00a0 For a Monday.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Well I’m not bad for a Monday
\nI could use another Sunday
\nI need a weekend with One More Day
\nBut even if I had it I know I’d say
\nThat I’m not bad \u2026 for a Monday.<\/p>\n

I got into the office and it’s too damn loud
\nMy feet are on the floor but my head’s in a cloud
\nAnd the prospect of the work-week has my spirit cowed
\nBut I’m not bad – for a Monday<\/p>\n

And my wallet’s empty but my head is full
\nOf angry squirrels, with maracas, and no sense of timing
\nBut I’m OK.\u00a0 Not bad, really.\u00a0
\nFor a Monday.<\/p>\n

Well I’m not bad for a Monday
\nI can’t remember much of Sunday
\nI need a weekend with One More Day
\nBut even if I had it I know I’d say
\nThat I’m not bad \u2026 for a Monday.<\/p>\n

Well the weekend was a blur, it went by so fast
\nMy arm’s in a sling and my leg’s in a cast
\nAnd I don’t really know what was in that pipe they passed
\nBut I’m not bad for a Monday<\/p>\n

My ex won an Oscar for playing herself
\nIn a movie she wrote about what a jerk I am
\nBut that’s all right.\u00a0 Not bad, really.\u00a0
\nFor a Monday.<\/p>\n

Well I’m not bad for a Monday

Friday it all started out so well
\nHalf a case of beer for our thirsts to quell
\nWho could guess how fast it would all go to hell

I don’t think that beer was half the problem since we were OK until
\nMy half-brother’s sister’s cousin showed up with that Tequila,
\nBut we forgive him.\u00a0 It’s OK.\u00a0 Not bad, really.\u00a0
