Question:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Why is it that you’re always on travel somewhere when the kids get ill, break an arm, or we have a flash flood that closes school?\u00a0\u00a0How do you know in advance to leave for those inconvenient times?\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Answer:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0No no, that’s\u00a0just silly.\u00a0 We couldn’t possibly have sixth sense that tells us to book that trip for the time when little Sweetheart will spike\u00a0104.8\u00a0fever,\u00a0while the power is blinking during the hurricane\u00a0and the dog is throwing up and\u00a0fish died yesterday and\u00a0the damn washing machine started leaking.\u00a0 Nope.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Yeah, OK, we do.\u00a0 It’s tied to\u00a0our ability to sense when it’s not going to be a good week for Hey Hey, if you get my drift.\u00a0 After a\u00a0while we can just look at the calendar and say, yep, about 11 weeks from now will be a good\u00a0time to attend that conference.\u00a0 In Vegas.\u00a0\u00a0(Unless you live in Vegas, in which case his conference is in Hawaii.)<\/p>\n We don’t mean to do it.\u00a0 It really does\u00a0“just work out that way” sometimes.\u00a0 And don’t\u00a0think we don’t feel badly about it!\u00a0\u00a0Take the following example:\u00a0 “Hey,\u00a0glad I\u00a0could reach you out there!\u00a0 Our 9-yr-old daughter just crashed her bike down the hill and broke both arms;\u00a0the Dr says she’ll be in casts for weeks.”\u00a0\u00a0 His response:\u00a0 “Really?\u00a0 Hey, we’re drinkin’ out here!”\u00a0<\/p>\n But\u00a0he really did feel bad about it.\u00a0 You know, when he got home.\u00a0 Now you know.
