{"id":1661,"date":"2011-08-09T23:45:58","date_gmt":"2011-08-10T03:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.biguglymandoll.com\/?p=1661"},"modified":"2011-08-09T23:45:58","modified_gmt":"2011-08-10T03:45:58","slug":"who-buys-the-first-round","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.biguglymandoll.com\/?p=1661","title":{"rendered":"Who buys the first round?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Putting the kids to bed is always an exercise in continuing education.\u00a0 Tonight was no exception.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Reigning Queen of Pink wanted to know why her cheap stuffed bear was leaking, and if said bear could be fixed with bubbles.\u00a0 Yeah, dip the wand in, blow the bubbles at the bear&#8217;s paw.\u00a0 Um, probably not the best option.<\/li>\n<li>The Human Tape Recorder wanted to know what Fascism was, in detail, and how it differed from Republican political theory.\u00a0 Because, you know, I&#8217;ve got THAT off the top of my head all the time.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Number One Son told me as I turned off his lights that it was just stupid that we not only had to pay for, but had to pay taxes on, our electricity and gas usage to cool and heat the house.\u00a0 He was quite riled up about it.\u00a0 He&#8217;d been watching YouTube videos of other people playing The Legend of Zelda, and I really hadn&#8217;t realized they were world-building at QUITE THAT LEVEL of detail in these games.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I walked back upstairs thinking about all this.\u00a0 &#8220;Great,&#8221; I said to SOBUMD, &#8220;so a Fascist, a Socialist, and a Blonde walk into a bar&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Fascist, a Socialist, and a Blonde walk into a bar.
