The Irony Gods were watching out for me this morning.\u00a0 Driving to work, a guy in a gray Hyundai pulled up next to me at a stop light, rolled down his window, and yelled “Hey Buddy!”\u00a0 I turned, prepared to give him my patented “Armed Response Look Number 4,” when he followed it up with “You have a brake light out.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ah, a good Samaritan.\u00a0 “Thank you,” I shouted back.\u00a0 He pulled in front of me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He had a brake light out.<\/p>\n
It turns out that he works in the same location I do, and I followed him for the next 5 miles, off and on.\u00a0 I finally pulled up next to him at a stop light, motioned for him to roll down his window, and said, “You *do* know that you have a brake light out also, right?”\u00a0<\/p>\n
He gave me what I’m certain was his patented “You have *got* to be kidding me, asshole” look number 2, and said “No…\u00a0 Are you kidding me?”<\/p>\n
“Nope, driver’s side brake light, and may the blessings of the Irony Gods be on us both!”\u00a0<\/p>\n
I’m still not sure he believed me, which will make it all the sweeter when he checks his brake lights tonight and realizes that I wasn’t kidding.\u00a0 I had to tell him, though – Karma dictated no other course.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
