I’m adding yours to the list of questions women have asked about men over the years, and I will answer them all in turn – to continue to demystify the more malodorous gender for those of the gentler.\u00a0 Actual questions, posed by real women, and answered by a REAL man. Question:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Lids up, or lids down?\u00a0 Is there etiquette here?\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Answer:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This is\u00a0an age-old question, and few topics\u00a0more adroitly highlight the differences between the genders.\u00a0 How many times did Uga turn to Ug in the back of their\u00a0cave, in the dawn of time, and say “Dammit, you left the rock off again!”\u00a0 You know she did.<\/p>\n Is there an etiquette to be found here?\u00a0 I think so.\u00a0 Speaking for my gender, I will say that we should leave the lids down.\u00a0 All the time.\u00a0 As a matter of course.\u00a0 This adds two things to life.\u00a0 First, it adds\u00a0a sense of equity,\u00a0since you have to lift the lid and we have to lift the lid.\u00a0 Everybody lifts the lid.\u00a0 It’s what we do, and if we all do it, it’s fair.\u00a0\u00a0As long as it’s not a fuzzy lid<\/a>, we’re all good with that.\u00a0 Second, it adds the element of surprise.\u00a0 If the lid’s up when you\u00a0walk in, you never have to guess the state of the\u00a0union down there, do you?\u00a0 This way, unless the nose\u00a0knows, you get that excited anticipatory feeling that anything could be lurking down there, and you’re about to lift that lid – with no backup, just you and the can – and find out!\u00a0 Isn’t it exciting?<\/p>\n Oh yeah, and\u00a0keeping the lid down helps keep the dog from\u00a0drinking your punch bowl surprise.\u00a0 You know, the dog that slobbers bit wet kisses all over you when you come home?\u00a0 Why do you think that nose is so cold?\u00a0\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 Lids down, folks.\u00a0<\/p>\n Now you know.\u00a0 Please, feel free to comment!\u00a0 Also, forward\u00a0any questions you’d<\/strong> like answered to BUMD – at – biguglymandoll.com!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Lids up, or lids down?
